POSITION DESCRIPTION

Researcher Series positions are occasionally available throughout the year at the Beckman Laser Institute at the University of California, Irvine. Applications are sought from candidates with a Ph.D. degree with a strong laboratory research background, and specialized training in novel multimodal biomedical imaging technology development, biomedical engineering, or related fields. This is an ongoing recruitment. Positions are dependent on extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal will be dependent on the availability of support.

Requirements:

Appointees in this series must have earned a doctorate or its equivalent

Basic Qualifications (required at time of application)

Basic Qualifications: Ph.D. minimum: independent researchers, research qualifications equivalent to professorial series appointment  (Ph.D. or M.D. or M.D/Ph.D.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicants should have a strong laboratory research background, publications, and specialized training in novel multimodal biomedical imaging technology development, biomedical engineering, or related fields. Candidate should also have a minimum of two – year of postdoc experience.
