Associate Specialist Search

Beckman Laser Institute is seeking an associate specialist with expertise in optics, optical systems design, and instrument controls. Candidates should have experience in ray tracing, diffractive theory, and Maxwell Equations solutions. The position will focus primarily on the construction of multi-point 3-D optical force clamps with video feedback for Holographic Optical Tweezers updates. Experiments in the mechanical nature of cell-signaling will be conducted. The candidates should possess the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team setting. Familiarity with biomedical optics concepts is desired. Candidates should have a doctoral degree in biomedical engineering, optics, or a related field.
