Year 2 BC-DOI NETWORK TEAM SUMMARY
- This year Team 1 continued to grow and develop connections.
- Team 1 added 11 academic associate members.
- Team 1 added 9 corporate associate members.

Team 1 organized 9 Executive Committee Conference calls, and held 3
face-to-face meetings to facilitate network interaction and
collaboration (one Executive Committee face-to-face meeting, a
scientific retreat and a major scientific session at an international
conference).

Team 1 awarded $250,000 to 13 synergistic developmental projects. The
awarded developmental projects, aimed at contributing new understanding
to primary objectives of the RFA, translation and validation, cover a
broad spectrum of activities including database development,
standardization of histopathology methods, development of novel
measurement protocols, and support for student training.

Almost 90 scientists, clinicians, students, and members of industry
from 9 states and 5 countries attended our Second Annual BC-DOI Network
Retreat, an increase of almost 25% from to the previous year.

BC-DOI Investigators submitted 15 proposals to various agencies with
the aim of leveraging NTROI funding.
- Team 1 clinical sites enrolled a total of 177 patients in NTROI studies.
- Team 1 developed 2 software platforms.
- BC-DOI Investigators gave 21 presentations about Network progress at scientific meetings.
- Network Investigators cited NTROI research in 27 publications.
