Photonic Incubator

The Beckman Laser Institute has established a Photonic Incubator to utilize photonic (light) technologies (lasers, optics, detectors, etc.) in the development of new biomedical systems for medical diagnostics, therapeutics and cellular/molecular analysis. The Incubator combines the Institute's existing facilities, scientific and medical expertise, and extensive corporate contacts with newly constructed facilities (11,280 gross square feet) to provide a unique, high impact resource for technology transfer in the area of medical photonics.

Goals of the BLI Photonic Incubator include stimulating the founding of new biotech businesses, creating new products, and creating of new jobs.
