George M. Peavy

Dr. George Peavy is a project scientist at UCI Beckman Laser Institute & Medical Clinic. He is the director of the Comparative Medicine programs and the coordinator for the Military Medical Photonics (MMP) program, a federally-funded national laboratory.  Dr. Peavy also directs the annual Conti Symposium, a day-long, in-depth continuing education program for veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

Dr. Peavy was in private practice for many years. An early-adopter of using laser technology to treat animals, Dr. Peavy began his career at the Institute as a volunteer and quickly became indispensable as a colleague and administrator of the MMP grant. He is listed on two patents.

Dr. Peavy is an emeritus diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.  He earned his B.S. and D.V.M. from the University of California, Davis.
